CREATIVEMORNINGS SACRAMENTO

In 2016, I collaborated with another creative in the Sacramento community to bring the creative community together with our very own chapter of CreativeMornings. We planned and created the application video throughout 2016 and were awarded the chapter in late-September 2016.

CreativeMornings serves as a vehicle to celebrate the city’s creative talent, while also promoting an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. CreativeMornings is a global breakfast lecture series for the creative community with over 200 chapters all across the globe. Concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.

VIDEO PRODUCTION/EDITING

VENUE A/V

VENUE
Each month, I lead our venue coordination and planning, overseeing that we had all the equipment we needed to put on the show, working directly with different venue staff to book our space, coordinate set up times, and percure chairs, podiums, projectors, AV/ Audio microphones and soundboards. I was also responsible for the AV and running this during the show each month.

VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT
Finding and organizing volunteers for each month’s event set up as well as seeking more involved volunteers to help manage our social channels, event design, coffee, breakfast, venue, and monetary partnership/sponsor relationships, and seeking and curating speakers for each month’s event. Including creating Typeform and MailChimp surveys and templates, and scheduling the outreach and organizing and allocating the feedback and responses of the volunteers availability.

30 SECOND PITCH
Each month we save a segment of the event’s presentation for our community, giving an allocated number of individuals the stage for 30 seconds to pitch their event, idea, business, job opening, etc. to the creative community.

VIDEO PRODUCTION
Either filming, editing, and producing the event’s required monthly video, or being responsible for finding a video team from the community and overseeing the production, providing CM brand guardrails to meet the global and local sac chapter brand requirements, while also allowing for each video team to do their thing.

EVENT DAY
Looked a lot like getting to the venue at 7am and tasking the volunteers with their set up duties; chairs, coffee, breakfast, and name tag stations. I would set up the audio, test audio, assist the video team if we had one, set up the projector and keynote presentation.
